Why the Veil?

The history of the Veil varies depending on who you ask, although it is widely accepted that the origin of the Veil can be traced back to Rome. Brides would wear a Veil while walking down the aisle to disguise themselves from evil spirits who wanted to ruin their happiness. In today's society, the Veil is often seen as a symbol of innocence and purity, and although entirely optional, many brides see wearing it on their special day as a 'rite of passage'.
