Real Bride Story: Kita and Jordon’s Romantic Shoal Bay Wedding

Stunning real bride Kita in #CZ8201 from our Orchid Bloom Collection.

How did you find you dream dress?

“Final touch bridal was the very first bridal boutique that I visited. I picked out a bunch of dresses and they helped me try them on. After taking close note of what I liked and didn't like one of the assistants came out with a dress draped over her arm, I think this is the one for you she said. I looked and scrunched my nose up yeah I don't love it but I'll try it on. Helping me into the dress I walked out to a mirror and instantly had tears in my eyes she was right, this was the one.”

How did you meet your partner?

“Jordon and I actually met through social media although we had crossed paths years prior at a music festival with similar friend groups (Didn't speak to each other but I spotted him in an old video from the festival when watching it back one day). Our first date was super relaxed and we just took his dog (now our dog Axle) to the dog beach. As the afternoon went on we walked down the break wall and turned to see the most beautiful sunset. As we got back to the car darkness had hit and all of a sudden fireworks starting going off in the harbour ( mind you it was a school night) It was romantic and awkward all at the same time haha. But from that very first date I fell in love.”

What advice would you give to future brides?

“My advice for future Brides would be to make a checklist and a rough budget. I made a seperate email folder and placed every wedding related email inside, that way something you may have booked 12 months in advance you can easily refer back to. Book yourself in for a massage or some other relaxing treat for the week before your wedding. As organised as you may be the stress and emotions are all mixed in and running high. The day and night can go super fast! Take small moments to stop and breathe it all in. Weddings are the best! Have fun!”
