1- Sleeves

Sleeves are a great option for brides to consider to stay warm on their wedding day. It provides an extra layer of warmth whilst still looking modern and chic. Sleeves can also be detachable therefore during the warmer hours of the day the sleeves can be removed to cool down. The detachable sleeves can also serve as a different look to wow your guests without having to buy a second dress.

2- Umbrellas

Umbrellas are a simple but efficient item to provide to guests on arrival. Not only do they protect the guests from the wet weather but also provide for beautiful photos such as can be seen from our real bride Sophie’s wedding. It should also be noted that many guests do not show up prepared for a Winter wedding therefore being organised for them will make everyones day much more enjoyable as well as run much smoother.

3- Shawl

The use of a Shawl is very common amongst winter weddings as it can serve many purposes, of course the main one is to keep both the bride and the bridal party warm, but it is also commonly used to elevate the bridal looks. By adding a Shawl it can turn a simple gown or dress into a timeless and sophisticated look. As can be seen by real bride Nicole she has placed her bridal party in brown shawls while she wears white, this stands out as well as keeping every one warm and cozy (Win, win situation!).

4- Indoor reception

Hosting an indoor reception during the winter/rainy season is highly recommended. Not only does it keep the guests and yourself warm and dry the interior can be decorated to suit the cold and rainy vibe creating a magical wintery atmosphere. winter additions that can be added to the decor can include but are not limited to: candles, pale/rustic colour theme, fairy-lights and wooden finishes. These can all be seen in real bride Kristina and Toms wedding.
